Indiana NENA (innena.org)
Indiana NENA's mission is to foster the technological advancement, availability, and implementation of a universal emergency telephone number system. In carrying out its mission, Indiana NENA promotes research, planning, training and education. The protection of human life, the preservation of property and the maintenance of general community security are among Indiana NENA's objectives.

Illinois Chapter of APCO's Historical Collection (www.apcohistory.org)
The Illinois Chapter APCO is one of the oldest and largest APCO chapters. A number of national APCO presidents and early national secretaries came from the Illinois Chapter. Their files and records, Proceedings (a word by word transcript) of Annual Conferences from 1939 through 1955, plus many other items of Chapter and Association heritage are included in this Historical Collection. The collection was founded in 1982 and is located in the Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center of Bradley University's Cullom-Davis Library in Peoria. The Library and Illinois APCO encourage the use of this collection by any interested persons. The complete collection is a tribute to the efforts and the dedication of those who helped mold public safety communications into what it is today. David Swan, Illinois APCO Chapter Historian, invites all APCO members to visit the collection for a guided tour.
